Become a member of the Youth Jury of the Athens International Film Festival ‘Opening Nights’
Athens International Film Festival has enacted for 4 years now the official award of the Festival to be given by an official Jury, which is constituted by 11 Film and Drama students aged 18-25, from all over the European Union.
During the Festival, the members of the Jury will also attend a series of cinema seminars in English.
The young people who will participate in the Jury must:
–be between the age of 18-25 years old.
-be citizens of one of the 27 countries of the European Union.
-study/have studied cinema (direction, script, production, photography etc.) in a public or private institution. Drama students will also be accepted.
-be fluent in English
-be absolutely available during the period of 18 – 28 September 2008.
-have the willingness to watch all the films of the “Competition Section” and attend the cinema seminars as well as to be able to pronounce a fair crisis in order to grant the awards.
The coordinators of the Festival will provide to all young jury members hotel accommodation, airplane tickets and a daily amount of money for their nutrition.
Those who are interested may send:
a. a brief curriculum vitae with an ID photo if available
b. the TOP-10 of their most favourite films of 2007-2008
c. a text up to 500 words in English or French on a film or on a film topic they select
